SARA CROWN STAR
Venture Partner, FemHealth Ventures
Sara Crown Star is a nationally recognized investor and philanthropic leader whose work bridges innovation, capital, and impact. She is a Venture Partner with FemHealth Ventures, a top-decile venture capital firm with $100 million in assets under management focused on advancing breakthrough solutions in women’s health, including drugs, medical devices, diagnostics, and digital/AI-enabled technologies. Sara also serves as President of SCS Innovations, which connects entrepreneurs with capital to bring new technologies to market.
A deeply committed civic leader, Sara co-chairs the Jewish Committee of Crown Family Philanthropies and serves on the boards of the Crown Family Foundation, the Jewish United Fund, and 1871 (Chicago’s entrepreneurial hub). She is also a life trustee of the Erikson Institute, President of the Colonel Henry Crown Scholarship Fund and a director of Musicians on Call and the Ortus Foundation.
Sara received a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, an Executive M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, a BS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed the Wexner Heritage Program. She has been honored with the Jewish United Fund’s Shofar Award, Georgetown University Law Center’s Paul R. Dean Alumni Award, and the Erikson Institute’s Spirit of Erikson Award.
